"The most wickedly funny, brilliantly abrasive young dramatist on either side of the Irish Sea.... A born storyteller." - The New York Times

Filled with characters unlike any previously portrayed on the stage, The Cripple of Inishmaan is a brutally funny, terribly charming and beautifully human play. This surprisingly colorful world exists on the bleakest of islands, and supplies the audience with a hilarious and harrowing experience they will never forget.
In 1934, a remote island village is turned on its ear when a Hollywood film crew decides to make a documentary on a neighboring island. None more than Cripple Billy, wish to escape the claustrophobic confinement of their village existence to become film stars. But when Billy betrays his family and closest friend for passage to a better life, he seals his fate and his undoing.
