The Celtic Ball & Auction is the primary fundraiser in aid of the Irish Immigration Pastoral Center, a community based not-for-profit organization that serves as a home away from home for many Irish immigrants in the Bay Area. For many in need, it is a parish without boundaries offering spiritual, social, medical, educational, legal and financial support and advice to Irish who are thousands of miles from home and family.
 
Generous community support of the IIPC over the past decade has allowed us to serve the Bay Area’s Irish Community with compassion, providing family support, immigration advice, job and housing referral, social service referral, grief counseling, and spiritual help.  The IIPC is the only Irish front-line services agency in San Francisco.
 
The goal of this year’s Celtic Ball & Auction is to raise $130,000 – nearly 55% of the IIPC annual budget.  All proceeds from the evening go directly to benefit the programs and services of the Irish Immigration Pastoral Center.
 
The Celtic Ball & Auction also epitomizes what it is to be Irish in San Francisco.  It is a celebration of community, of giving, of receiving and of helping – all while having a good time!
 
The Irish Immigration Pastoral Center’s 10th Annual Celtic Ball and Auction will take place at the Westin St. Francis Hotel on November 14, 2009.  It will be a night to remember complete with a gourmet dinner, dancing and live and silent auctions.
